aSo, I searched . Came up with nothing. Anyways . Looking for pics of camaros with grd efx painted different color then body. I have a satin black car and it is just two much black. Thought about painting the efx gloss black, charcoal grey or res. Would like to see others with painted ground efx to get an idea.

From '82-'87, all Z28's (Not counting the IROC's) had differently colored GFX than the body. To name a few factory combos, black cars had silver GFX with silver, red, or blue stripes, white cars had tan GFX and stripes or silver GFX with red stripes, and brown/metallic orange cars had gold GFX and stripes.

I've never seen the color combo before but it looks really good. Very 80s, but good.

 

No IROCs ever came two tone, regardless of options.

I thought it was pretty sweet too! I wish i knew how to photo shop. There are a few guys on here that do a awesome job photo shoping cars!

 

It doesn't look as bad as I thought it would, but red pin stripes accenting the GFX would look great.

The add said 66 but the car fax said more like 166 but it appears to have been rebuilt at some point runs really nice. I did the striping and lettering my self they were not there when she bought it.

 

This is my brothers 85 Z28, his name on here is 85maroZ28. Anyways pictures don't do the car any justice, some people don't like the blue ground effects but it looks a lot better in person. He also plans on getting a new hood before long, he really wants an SS hood but may go with a stock Z hood until he can afford an SS hood. I think an SS hood would look perfect on this car...

 

You mean an SS hood from a 4th gen?

 

SS hood is aftermarket and has a small scoop in the middle IIRC.

This was My 84 Z/28 I had, the pics are about 10 years old.

 

I'm currently painting my '89 Firebird, there will be striping and letters within the orange area so there won't be so much orange as you see now.



It will look like the IMPONTU "RUINER" from the video/computer game Grand Theft Auto IV:

 

So to the nice fella who did the Photoshop for me. I just got some new doors and a high rise spoiler along with aero grd efx. Which in my mind justifies a new paint job. With that being said, could I get you to Photoshop one for me admiral blue with white where you previously did red. I thi.k that eod be sick.

 

I think it looks killer. I don't think the spoiler and hood louvers would look good in white, but I can do that if you want.

Those /are/ hood blisters.

Louvers are the ones that look like vents on the hood.

The RUINER is done!





Refinishing the Z28 wheels was a trip! Don't want to have to do that again, LOL!
the center chrome push through bullets I got didn't fit so I had to modify them.
and put red arrow logo centers on top.

This is with 14"Cragar SS while I was still refinishing the z28's.





The Grand Theft Auto IV IMPONTE RUINER is a mishmash of Camaro and Firebird body parts so the car is an approximation of the game car but close enough to leave no doubt.

 

I did the blisters white.

I can't find a picture of a car with a high wing and aero GFX that has hood louvers instead of blisters, so it'll have to do. Sorry.
