Re: car cover
I don't have one, but I will be needing one for the convertible. I thought about buying one of the ebay one... They are so cheap compared to the California car cover ones. Figured I could try it and if its no good it wasn't much money out of pocket.

Re: car cover
Make sure you get a fitted cover. They fit much better. I have a Covercraft. Also - there is no such thing as 100% weatherproof. In a hard rain, you will get water on the car. I use the cover indoors only now as a dust cover.
This is the one I have.

It fits great. It is lightweight, and easy to store when not in use because it is not bulky. It can be machine washed. The downside is that it is waterproof to a point. Covercraft also sells the Noah car cover that is supposed to offer better outdoor protection but it is bulky and has to be cleaned in a commercial washing machine and air dried.

Re: car cover
I bought one through california car cover for my 91:

Love it. Very Very thick, feels like a flannel shirt on the inside. Fits the car like a glove. Inside use only. Ordered it in black....and it cost around $400.00 or so.
Also bought one through Coverking for my 2010 SS:

This is was made for outside use. Again, fits Very Very tight, the material feels like "tent" material. It's actually raining right now and the water is just rolling off of it. In stronger rain.....it probably won't repel as much...but for a "regular" rain....it's working great. Ordered it in black as well with silver stripes and it ran around $300.00.
I think as long as you go with a fully custom made car cover....and order for what you'll be using it for....you won't have a problem. Expensive? Yes. But it's protection for your invest, definently worth it IMO

Re: car cover
Remember you get what you pay for. I had to park it outside last winter (in New England) and bought an outside, breathable, blah, blah, blah. Went to start it once the snow melted since it had been 3 weeks and the breathable outdoor cover was stuck to the paint. While I admit it needs a new paint job taking the winter cover off isn't how I wanted to strip the paint.
