Lights
Hey, I just joined this forum and my focus is on lights at the moment. I finally got my car as I bought a pretty clean 89 RS just the other day. My 3rd brake light is not working and I took it out to observe it and it appears that I have to replace the whole thing (correct me if I am wrong) I thought it would look neat to change all my lights to led's around the whole car. Where is a good place to get LEDs for this ride.

Re: Lights
The bulb for the HMSL (aka third brake light) is Radio Shack Cat. No. 272-1177. Descr: Halogen Lamps 12-Volt, 20-Watt. G-4 base, rated 350 lumens. Average life: 2000 hours. Excellent for automotive application.
You replace the bulbs not the "extremely rare" third break light.
You can also get them at Auto Zone or any similar automotive store but there expensive.
Side note = They want $70.00 for a busted up third break light on EBay.

Re: Lights
yea if you buy your third brake bulbs at a store you will spend a lot for 5. if you want to get creative you could wire some leds into the stock third housing
