Dirty Wheels
Okay, so I decided to go out and take a good look at my wheels for the first time, it turns out, they look like they haven't been cleaned since 1989. I was able to get some of the surface crude off, and give it a little shine, but I had no luck with the gaps full of grime, and who knows what. Here is a pic
If anyone has any good tips on how to clean, and how to get this crud off, please tell!

Re: Dirty Wheels
Is it bare metal with no clear coat?? If its bare metal try Simple green and a scrub brush. Make sure the brush won't scratch the surface. Another great cleaner is called Awesome. You can find it at Dollar General or online. Just don't use either on any painted surface as they could damage the paint.

Cant tell if it has a clear coat or not. However I did buy some Awesome today. Also, not worried about paint, gonna get the whole thing redone in April most likely. Thank you!

Re: Dirty Wheels
Baked on brake dust and road dirt is such a pain to get off, that's why I'm such a freak about keeping my wheels clean. I see it so many times, people go to the lazy person car washes and the wheels never get done. My PW7 wheels still have alot of baked on dust in the crosslaces and I have cleaned them many times-seem the 2 PO's did not ever clean in them. At some point I need to take the wheels off the car and really really clean them. Use a good cleaner and scrub your butt off and they will look better, but you may never get all that crud off without sanding them and redoing them.

I bought some of this brown royal stuff. I did a little bit of scrubbing and then rinsed it and presto! All the stuff I could not scrub off with other cleaners fell right off.
