questions for 92 firebird
will an 88-90 trans am hood fit on a 92 bird or would i have to get the 91-92 trans am hood to fit mine? also i have plastic ttops on my car but also have a set of an 88 glass ttops from a camaro iroc--when i put the glass ones on it leaks a lil but the stripping is perfect condition but when i put the plastic nothing gets inside no leaking at all..why is that? the glass tops fit fine and close fine like the plastic one yet still leak, is there a reason for this? would i need to get a pair of 92 glass ttops then? also can i replace the rear hatch of my car to an 88-90 trans am rear hatch? i prefer the wrap around wing with the 3rd brake light on the wing rather than on the rear window. could i also replace the side view mirrors to blue glass and heated ones?
any info on this will be greatly appreciated!
thanks

Re: questions for 92 firebird
I put an '82 power bulge hood on my "91 Firebird without any problem. Also have some glass ttops from a U-Pull-It Camaro and they fit better than my lexan one on that same car. There may be some adjustment that can be made at the pins or the hindges.

Re: questions for 92 firebird
You can use the older hatch, but I know on the 91/92 Camaro's the pull down motor is differant so you would have to use the striker from your hatch-it's 4 botls so big deal if the birds are the same and I think they are. The issue is finding a hatch where the wrap around spoiler is not shot. My TA only has 50k on it with no rust at all and the spoiler looks like it's been through a war or two. Hawk's has a repop spoiler but it's about $400 plus you still need to get the other hatch. IMO stick with the hatch you have it it's in good shape. Also like was said the hood will fit fine.

Re: questions for 92 firebird
how much would a t/a hood cost? also the ttops i have on have a thick pin at the ends while the 88 glass ones had a skinny pin..is this the reason why it wont close properly? should i switch the end pins?
