Is it cracked at all?

If there is no cracks, just box that baby up and send it to me, and I'll send you one painted any color you like

I restored my entire interior using SEM paint. It's a good idea to clean it well first and then use adhesion promoter. Figure another 35 bucks for high quality supplies but then it will be mint!

Re: Paint my dash
I hope you mean black on the upper.....I did a show car for a friend a few years back and dyed/painted everything below the upper dash and upper door trim in tan. it really looked way better then I thought it would.

I too will vouch for SEM. I did a lot of my trim with THIS.

Why do you want to paint the un-cracked dash? Are you going to be painting it a color? Or is it some sort of faded that your tire shine has not solved, and you want it black.

If you going with a color, just save your self some trouble and buy a dash cap and paint that, then stick it over your exsisting cracked dash. You could sell your un-cracked dash and probably turn a pretty profit after all is said and done.

Just hate to see a "perfect" dash get rattle canned. Its your though man.

Re: Paint my dash
clean your dash with acetone and paint it with a simi flat paint, Do not use a gloss paint a it will blind you in the sun.

Re: Paint my dash
Point taken. I like the idea of using tire shine to address the faded areas. Thanks

Re: Paint my dash
black magic or turtle wax ICE total interior care work great on shining up dash pads, go with the ICE if you want a clean non shiny look, and black magic if you want a blinding shine
