im looking to get a little bit more power out of my car and kind of make the engine look alot cleaner does anyone recomen tings to do or not to do

 

Hmm, the TBI board might be a much better place to ask about the power. As for cleaning up the engine bay... little elbow grease minus all the smog stuff and it'll come out pretty good.

 

I'll be like all the other dumbasses and say, loose the 305 and get yourself a 350.

Actually, my belief is no one can answer this question but yourself. You need to decide what you're gonna build your car to be. Street, drag, high performance, show car... etc. Its all on what you want it to be.

If you want some more kick or you want 800Hp. Its all up to you man.


As for cleaning the engine bay, use simple green and plenty of Castrol Super Desgresser. Scrub hard and rinse throughly.

Use stuff like Bartends Best Friend or Comet on the A/C parts, make them real shiny. Then try alittle Black Magic Wet tire on your hoses. You'll be amazed. They will shine and look new.
