And it brings to my attention how nasty the Plenum is. Tips, tricks, etc, on cleaning my engine bay?

Absolutely disgusting.

My bottles are only 4 years old. It seems like if you drive these, the heat just yellows them.

For your plenum, start with a degreaser and a stiff brush.

Your engine looks nicer than most on this board.
Hide the bottles...hide wires...clean up rust (replace rusty bolts with stainless) polish the plenum, and clean the plastic parts. The less clutter in the engine the better...

I just put the bottles in and really hope they last longer than that.
