I am refinishing my '91 TA lenses. About 5 years ago I replaced the painted "PONTIAC" logo with a decal version (see my pic in the border). It is now curling at the edges. My plan is to remove the old decal, polish the lenses, and put on a new decal. This time, however, I would like to cover the decal (and lenses) with clearcoat.

Has anyone used clearcoat on their lenses and has it turned out OK over time? Opinions and experiences, please
