i don't know what the part is called, or even if they make new replacements, but the outer trim (the piece that goes over/covers the window when the door is closed) on my passenger t-top is torn.

any ideas on how to fix it or if i can get a replacement??

my car is an 89, and i think the trim (drip edge) is rubber, not plastic. Don't know for sure or how that makes a difference. I did see a part # for the rubber one, so i'll check them out. Thanks.

next question...any idea on how to take the old ones off and install the new ones?

pull the weatherstripping out of its channel and remove the weatherstripping bracket. its metal. the rail should be held in with double sided tape underneath it.....or thats how mine was. good luck.

 

I just purchased a pair of those in 2010 for my tops. Year one has them (in 2010 they did anyway). the replacements are plastic not rubber anymore.

 

it looks like Hawks has them in both plastic or rubber.
Not sure which to go with...
as you can see, my car currently has the rubber ones.
