Sitting and rotting: An art and inspiration thread
I have seen thread like this on other websites and thought some pretty cool photos were posted. Post pictures of third gens sitting in a yard, driveway, etc to show what kind of cars are still out there. Here is my 85 ta that hasn't been on the road in over 8 years. PO owned the car since the mid nineties and when he started to work on it again decided the body became to rough and was going to scrap it. The car is a black on black 5 spd t top car and I thought it was worth saving.

Now here is that car sitting and rotting in my possession. That will be changing once the snow finally ends. Did some work since purchasing over the summer but serious progress will start during warmer weather.

Re: Sitting and rotting: An art and inspiration thread
Here is a few I have found and some I have bought.
First is this 87' Camaro me and my dad found, he bought it the same day lol

Trans Am GTA I tried to buy but the owner never answered the phone

Heres a 1989 Formula I tried to buy but the owner never called me back, the rear end is almost touching the ground. So sad shes been sitting there for 9 years....Said he is "going to restore it"

My buddy tried to buy this but the guy wouldnt sell it. It's also been sitting there for a longgg time and seems to be all original

Heres a Camaro RS 305 5 speed that the same guy also wouldnt sell. It too has been sitting for a long time.

I've found alot of other cars but dont have pictures of them. Heck even my buddy has a 86' Camaro sport coupe sitting

whoa, a lingenfelter z28 would be an amazing car to uncover in a garage. Based on other threads it seems like you have it out and the car is being enjoyed again. Member

Re: Sitting and rotting: An art and inspiration thread
Here's a Camaro convertible(looks like a 91-92 Z28) that appears to have been put out to pasture, literally, in a desert area north of Los Angeles. I originally took this pic over a year ago, but I was cruising in the area about a week ago, and the car still sits there, untouched. Looks like it's still in decent shape.

Nice saves everyone, there are some great cars still out there. Everything near me are base models that are either not for sale or priced about 10x their actual value.

Re: Sitting and rotting: An art and inspiration thread
Brining back a dead thread, hopefully more cars will come out of the wood work. Not sure why but there is a certain pleasure/pain feeling that occurs from seeing pictures of abandoned cars. Here's another contribution, 91 RS sitting for 5 years awaiting a 383 swap. Was supposedly a few weeks from being towed now mine.

Re: Sitting and rotting: An art and inspiration thread
Here is an interesting Frankenstein I found at my local yard.

The car is a 90, with a build date of 10/89. So, a VERY early 90. It has a speed density V6, a 91/92 style nose and dash, and the catalyst sticker under hood reads 5.0.
Oh ya, it is very, ummmm, picturesque I guess.

No. They won't sell whole cars. It's destined for the crusher.
