What color to fix her?
After almost a year after an accident, i've finally had the extra funds(and time) to fix my cars cosmetics. Below you'll see pictures of gaps between the fender's and hood, gaps between the hood and front bumper, dents in the fenders, a scuffed up bumper, and one ugly as hell hood that ruins the cars appearance immediately.
I've purchased a pin on hood set to help with the gap between the hood and front bumper that i plan on installing tomorrow unless many people object.
I figure the quickest way to getting my car back to respectability is to fix the ugly hood and there's a few options to do that.
Myself and my cousin can do it ourselves easily if we just paint it one solid color and save a ton of money to boot. What color should i paint it though? The teal or black? what would look better?
For the hood i could also just take it to some cheapo paint shop to do it both tones, and getting it looking like the original hood, but i'm thinking thats probably going to run around 200. Worth it?
The fender's and front bumper, i've purchased a spare set of off craigslist, originally i was all for doing it myself, but now that i've looked into it, it looks quite a bit intimidating, does anyone have any experience with doing this, and if so, is it complicated?(the Fender's and bumper would definitely have to be painted, because despite they're solid frame, they look **** crap paintwise)
Thanks for your opinions and advice in advance!!

It's always easier NOT changing colors. How you feel about Teal?

Teals fine to me, I'm just undecided if I should do black or teal. Keep in mind it's only the hood I'll be painting. I could paint the whole car for maybe $250, but I love the stripes and the paint job as is, is really good and I don't wanna mess with it

I'm pretty sure this is the stock color and that its the dark blue teal metallic, and the color code is WA 9238. Is there somewhere recommended to buy that color? Or does anyone know a color "close" to that teal? Do i just have to order online?

If you want the hood down further in the front then adjust the latch mechanism down as far as it can go. If that's not far enough then make the slots the bolts are going through longer by grinding the top of the channel. That will allow you to lower the hood even more.

Re: What color to fix her?
I just picked up the teal now. Cars been primed for a few days , needs to be sanded down and evened. My cousin want a to go ahead and try to throw the stripes on there, should we? How would we even go about that?(He already owns black paint from a previous project) the teal I got is wa9238 from nason.
Also if you look close there are a total of 6 stripes, Is this worth doing?

Re: What color to fix her?
So we found out the smaller stripes are pin stripes and found out those go in at the end.
In a few hours were going to put the black on the hood for the stripes. How soon after can we put the teal on? Does it really have to wait overnight? Can we paint the black at 9pm and put the teal over it at 10pm? Or is that too short of a break inbetween?
