im all for a black TA with that year... not a kitt fan but I think it was a good look for the car especially with those hubcaps!

 

I agree, and black paint takes away from the one negative on the early firebirds- the bumperettes. This is a very nice car and I'm usually all for originality but on this one my votes for black....Or red always looks good - right Drew?

It's a 360 small block from a Sprint car. Paired with a Ford 4 speed top loader, and a crowerglide clutch.

83 Trans Am, 5.0 CFI 700r4 soon to be 355 or 383 depending on whether doner engine needs the crank regrinding (dont have it yet so dont know).

One of these days I'm going to start a thread about this car and introduce it to TGO properly.

 

Maybe we had the same neighbor? I had someone two doors down that had a red and black IROC, an early 20 year old lady had it. Always has been my favorite color combo for the IROC. that and Black and Silver. a lot of them were around though but not the black and red.

86 T/A WS6 5Spd......Bought in May 2019 for 800 bucks. Lots to do to make it road worthy going to get resto-modded. Those red rims need to go black.

 

too much black = old order mennonite horse n buggy nonsense>>>>> maybe go charcoal grey or something to break up the expanse of blackness

 

a little bit of work,get rid of the truck rubber ,maybe some decent rims and your rockin

 

TBH i'm not sure of the final colour yet...I've always owned black cars however IMO that Soul Red Crystal Metallic on the new Mazda's is an awesome colour especially when the sun hits it.
