Thanks give me an idea. Like i said body colour might change. I really have to sit down with a adult beverage or 5 and stare at the car for a bit to envision what direction I'm going with it.
Heres an idea. You cannot improve upon this combination
IMHO you can.. I owned this in 1986 and had the red stripe removed and loved the wheels with the white letter GTs. I had the look of the GTA before the GTA and it turned heads everywhere. when I saw the crosslaces I just thought wow they but some BMW style BBS wheels on it and gave it more power. Big whoop. I have owned this and the GTA. I prefer the TA. It just looked better.
I have to disagree. Your GTA was about the most beautiful Thirdgen on the planet. I hated those other wheels
I wanted to put the silver ones you see below with white letter tires but I had a gold interior so it would not have looked OK. I powder coated some formula rims I got from ebay and it didn't have the look I was going for. I was trying to recreate my old car. I will one day and will be happier than having the bbs crap.
Never thought they should copy BMW.
I will buy a basic black TA within the next 10 years
the wheels on the t/a in black and white are the most hated wheels of all time, god they are fugly.
i can get a mint set right now for $80 with new tires but honestly you would have to pay me to take
them.the only somewhat tolerable trans am rims other than cross laces are these:

it wasn't a BMW. never liked the crosslaces. the trans am needed to look more aggressive. the cross laces never looked aggressive. the only way you could make crosslaces look reasonable was to use all front rims on the front and rear since they had a deeper lip
i had one of these in black,i loved that car.i drove it for 10 years and it was a pleasure.
anyone bad mouthing these cars has bought one that has been run through the ringer,
that's a beauty.....i miss my berlli
yeah bbs rims aren't aggressive, lololololol do you need an eye exam or a pulse check??? bbs lm's-godly oh,look how un-agressive these bbs lms look(kidding obviously) god these are beautiful
or these un-agressive cross lace bbs's omg, awesome look
oh,have you every seen a grand national? or a GTA or maybe a TTA..........any other rim would pale in comparison
All a matter of opinion on the wheels...
I hate those wheels on the red Camaro above. I like the cross lace wheels on the TA’s. And I think the first style formula wheels are absolutely terrible. I like the second version of the Formula wheels so much more.
The ONLY good looking stock rim on a Third gen bird is a crosslace IMO .I could see leaving a stock rim on an original show car type i guess such as a Formy. Crosslaces look good on certain color Camaros as well as on Regals,Monte Carlos, and S10s. I love some Vette wheels on these cars too.
i kind of like the first style formi wheels a bit better, they are not so cheap looking.
the second revision with the fake rivets are mehhhh(to me anyway)its all personal opinion.
the bbs lms on big red look SICK and are functionally perfect, light, durable,
rebuild-able,beautiful.one of my personal favorite rims on anything,mini-lights
are another, they are timeless and scream bad *** and race inspired.
it might be a road race inspired love, anything scca/trans am series looks good to me. minilights are great on everything
