Congratulations, scooter, you and your 1992 Firebird are TGO's 13th Month 2020 Car of the Month. And I am proud to give you your spot in the COTM Winner's List for 2020.
This was the first ever "13th Month - I Am Thirdgen" event, showcasing daily drivers, project cars, barn finds, and other cars with character from age and use. All told there were 14 owners that shared their stories and rides with us. I hope this can happen again next year and be even more successful now that we've learned the ropes of how this event works.
I'd like to throw my car in.
It is a 92 base model in Jamaica yellow. I put in a 4.8 LR4 with a T56 all stainless exhaust, GTA seats, LS1 front brakes w 12" rear disc on a 9 bolt. I have done many other improvements and upgrades including some minor rust repair.
It is my daily driver and I have put around 20K miles on it since I completed the work 3 years ago. I also entered it in one of the Optima courses
Thanks everyone that voted. Been around a while, but never had a car I felt was good enough to enter for COTM. Nice to have a contest for cars that look good from far, but far from good.
We sure did have fun at the Optima event. That photo of you and I on the street behind the line of wicked pro-touring cars on the street-drive to Wildwood is a great photo!
And, also, thanks to scooter for a good amount of electrical knowledge he has helped teach me via text messages during my car build and adventures!
