Had got it ready for the last show of my season. the only show I took it to this year..
its a rare sight to not be under a cover but I treasure those times!. it was the day before my 47th year B-Day yesterday.

How did you do at the show?

 

It was cold and a bit rainy so I just showed but didnt enter. I didnt want to stay for like 4 hours. but I did get to talk with people who shared their memories of their cars and similar ones to mine.
all and all I enjoyed it. It had been in storage for a year and wanted to get it out and about.

Car looks great! Glad you got to get it out and enjoy it. Ohio weather this year has been unfriendly to car enthusiasts. I only took my TTA out to one show this season, I usually do 3 or 4.

it had 19,900 when I bought it 4 years ago.. it just turned 22K... so I dont do as well as I should..lol so tempting..

The t5 has held up very well so I haven't had to worry about t56 yet

Thanks I found the tips on craigslist in TX new in box from the 1980s that fit a 2.5 inlet which is hard to find in this style and I didnt want to convert. the only painful part was the original stock tips I had to cut.. I hated to do that to such an original car! ouch.. but I wanted that look.
I thought the t5 couldnt handle power.. guess you prove that wrong! It does smell new somewhat but a little musty when I first got it.. now not so musty over these past 4 years.

its my sons only when I pass on. I almost bought a black 89 GTA 5.7 t-tops with 44K before I found this one.. far as I know the guy still has it in ND. He wanted 8900 for it like 4 years ago. But I fell in love with the 5 speed. whole car just feels less refined and more wanting to go go go You know.. like a muscle car....

 

This car is absolutely gorgeous! Should be COTM

that was automatic with google. tried it non enhanced and the color with the sun just didnt look right. toned it down actually as the default really popped.

I thought about getting an historical plate for my car. Unfortunately, Michigan has the requirement they can only be used for driving to/from shows.

 

Yes. Ohio has the same requirement. I can also use it to drive to a garage or move from one storage to another. I have taken people for a quick spin or I take it out to circulate the fluids but other than that it is a show car and my baby. Every time I drive it I get a large grin on my face.
