black on my car
So my car has only been drivin about 50 miles in the last 2 or 3 years due to engine build and swap from tpi to carb. Anyhow my red car has developed black stuff on the paint. I guess I want so say maybe some type of mold?? The car was not covered just sitting under a carport or in my driveway. I am having a really hard time getting this black off of the car....
Any suggestions?? thanks in advance

Re: black on my car
If it's been sitting in an open air environment then I doubt it's mold. Depending on where you live it could be a myriad of things. Ever spray paint anything black on a windy day? or did a neighbor? has the street been repaved while you were out? had any really bad thunderstorms? Anyone seal a roof or driveway nearby?
Any of these things with the right conditions could send some smutz in the air and cause it to land on random surfaces. I guess the real question is do you see the stuff on any other painted surfaces?

no its deff not anything like that. It is something that grew on the paint its self. I am 99% sure its mold. i can not take a picture today it hasn't stopped raining but when is does i will.
