91-92 Trans am tail light mods?

I have a set of 91-92 Trans am tails that I was wondering if there was any way to make the turns signals from amber to red. Has anyone done this? I know that inside the taillight housing there is a red lense for the two inside brake lights and there is and amber lense for the amber. Is there anyway I can use one from a 85-90 tail lights where the corners are red? Or would I need to have one made?

As on right now I have the 85-90 tails and I have them wired so that brake lights and tun lights are all running light. When you is blinker the outside turns get brighter and then dim and the two insides get brighter when braking. So this is why I would like the corners on my 91-92 tails to be red because I feel it would look bad if I had the ambers on all times as running lights.

Any help would be appreciated. And also I like pics so I can vision it

Make a mold with the amber lenses and them make your own new ones.
Just a FYI tho, i'm fairly sure that's a ticket waiting to happen, esp if you have a gungho officer. I'm sure most would miss that buuuuut there is always that one guy..
Good luck

I would try spraying the amber section with translucent red spray paint, then reassemble. VHT makes this spray and it can also be found in some hobby stores. That should do the trick.

You can heat up around the adhesive area with a heat gun, or in an oven at low temp. I got a set and the adhesive was all dry and cracked and I was able to just gently pry them front and back apart. After that, the colored lens parts just fall out

200 shouldn't melt the plastic. I would keep an eye on them while they are in there though. Pre-heat the oven and then when you're ready just touch the back side of the lights to the rack to make sure it doesn't melt before you stick them in
