What's the best way to clean your Leather Steering Wheel and what do you use. I ask because whatever I used on my Original Wheel back in the day, ruined it, it became all tacky and sticky and swelled up. Any suggestions

I would use Lexol Leather cleaner.
Then a conditioner.

I resto'd my Steering wheel with Leatherique ... then applied a sealer to it, sealer was part of the resto kit.

That's why I'm glad I don't have leather anything in my interior. No matter what, it always deteriorates. My DD has a crack or 2 in the leather seats - I only got leather because the car was loaded and the only one the dealer had with 2 doors and a power sunroof. If I have a choice, I'll always get cloth in my cars from now on. (unless it's a Ferrari and you have no choice, LOL).

 

Leather takes a lot of care to keep it in top condition. When I had my loaded '03 silverado I cleaned and conditioned the seats once a month. Bought that truck with 23k on it and sold it at 189k and the seats still looked new. However that was the last time I will ever own a vehicle with leather.
