Another amusing craigslist ad

Here is an amusing Craigslist ad I ran across. Be sure you don't miss the "Paint Color: Custom" in the side bar.

Re: Another amusing craigslist ad

Lol, I pass this car on my way to church every Sunday! It’s been sitting out there for several months. The ad is ridiculous, the guy can’t be serious.

Uh, I think I've got you beat.

https://kansascity.craigslist.org/ct...588243555.html

This thing has been for sale FOREVER. "Interior is not good" Might be a bit of an understatement. The listing used to show the interior, it's some kind of button tuck velour with everything (EVERYTHING) painted. I really wouldn't be surprised if it really does have three different styles of wheels on it, I mean did you see the pics? LOL

Windshield wipers? WTF you need those for?

Re: Another amusing craigslist ad

I really think the last one takes the cake, but this one really deserves some press...

For only $2,500 you can be sitting behind the wheel of this stunning classic automobile. Lovingly stored by these chemical waste biohazard barrels, this beauty shows a low low 278,000 miles on the odometer. Why shes like new! Call or text and we'll fire up the backhoe and yank it out of the mudhole.

Granny's walker not included.

Where is your God now?

Re: Another amusing craigslist ad

Slightly less ridiculous, but here's another typical flyover country craigslist thirdgen ad.

Yessir, this mean machine could be rotting next to YOUR rotting Morton building, slowly sinking into your crop of ditch weed and dandelions!

You thought it was missin' pieces? HA! Just gotta pick em out of ma junk pile.

See? Sawl there. Some assembly required. What? You afraid to get your hands dirty?

Hell no! That's not a bumper off a wrecked F-150, that's a high quality CHROME oil leak for a Big Block Chevy.

To be fair, I can see some value in this deal, but people actually try to sell stuff like this. Reminds me of one I saw last year. The main picture of the car that popped up on CL was a photo of something under a car cover.

That car with the diamond tuck velour is a blast from the 90s. It most likely had 100 spoke knock-offs on it. I'm shocked it doesn't have hydraulics. Never did like that lowrider look of interior. Looks like a casket.

The blue bird with the Supra/superbird wing made me think of when I was 18, look close at the blue zebra print floor mats...........I've seen that print before actually on the floor board of a car but they were not a set of floor mats.

Blue 86 Firebird - I didn't realize that is was possible to make a Firebird FUGLY.
Was that a Wal-Mart special? Or done by West Coast Customs?
The Yellow and the Maroon cars look like the earth is reclaiming them.

Re: Another amusing craigslist ad

I hate to admit this, but what's on the hood of the blue Firebird with the low rider interior, was my senior year in high school motto.

If the entire car went with a low rider theme, inside and out, then it would be a bit more forgivable.

With all these car restoration shows on cable, they could easily pick these cars and save them. Put them back to their original condition. They obviously missed the car buy back from years ago. Maybe a second life is in order.

This guy obviously hasn't visited the History/Originality page on ThirdGen.org. Some poor soul may think they are getting something special with this "30th anniversary" addition GTA. Weren't many of these made!

Re: Another amusing craigslist ad

I think that could be a great project car. Seems priced right based on pictures. If the body is straight and it runs and drives straight and someone wants a carb'd car this could be good.
