pit marks on windshield? (pics) HELP

my windshield has pit marks in it from something unknown, and when the sun shines on the window, and im driving towards it, it creates the BIGGEST glare, there are thousands of little DOTS that look almost like sap or bug crap, but they won't come out. is there any way i can polish the glass or something to get rid of them or do i need a new windshield?

no clue dude , but usualy insurance covers all the glass (for free), so if a rock happen to fall through it you would get a brand new one , ya know ?

of course I'm not suggesting you do it , that would be insurance fraud.

Eastwood makes a kit for polishing glass, cesium oxide (I think). You have to be careful not to heat the glass, or it will warp, and then everything will look funny through it. Your pits look pretty bad, so new glass is probably in order.

Axle/Gears: ones that turn.
New winshields are cheap; up here, I have gotten mine replaced for a bit over $200 Cdn (new, installed). Call a couple shops and ask for an estimate...

Could they be welding pits? If you have Comp on your insurance, there should be no dedutible, and they should change it. When our Dodge was in the shop (Warranty) getting new lights put in, one of the guys in the next bay was welding something on a car, and the sparks from that hit our car and pitted our drivers window bad. They replaced it. If your car has been in a body shop or anything like that, this could be a possibility. They also have companies that polish windshields. Maybe a dealer can reccomend one to you.
