faded center tail bird

Wondering if anyone has fixed this problem by placing a decal or emblem over the faded firebird on the center tail? Or what are the dimensions of the sail panel firebird decals? Just looking for an alternative to replacing the whole center tail light. It looks like someone placed an emblem over the one in this link:

Probably can just be polished with plastic polish.
I used a head light polish/ renew kit I had lying around .
Worked great.
