Hello,
I installed a set of IROC style wheels from US mags.
18x9.5 for the front with 275 tires and 18x11 on the back with 315 tires. The backspacing is pretty bad so the wheels stick out a little bit. Here some pics
Hey, thanks to reply,
they stick out, 0.70 inch on 4 corners. In september I disassemble the car and it goes to the bodyshop, so I thinking about a widebody but I'm scared to regret. I'll probably keep them like that and buy another set later with a good backspacing.
They do look sharp! .....but they do stick out a little. Ideally I'd want 'em to sit flush, but, they do look good!
Stan has US mag wheels too. Yours really have a nice dish that I think is closer to stock. His are a little more....flat...if that's the right word. -but....his tuck perfectly. Sometimes there is no right answer. I think ultimately I'd want mine to tuck in a little more, but yours do look good. Nice car! -definitely post up as the paint/body work progresses!
Is US Mags the company that makes the billet snowflake wheels for Yearone?? They do look amazing, both the Iroc wheel and the snowflake wheel from Yearone.
Yep, just checked out their site, looks like they do make them. They do look sweet!!!
The dish is close to the stock one, maybe a little more. For the backspacing, on the front 4.25" and on the rear 5.75". I didn't modified anything on the back, there 0.80 inch between the wheel and the bump stop (without the tire).
With the deep dish on the lip a shallower concave in the center would of looked much better and the wheel/tire combo would of sat perfect instead of sticking out. Wide body would definetly fix that. Not my cup of tea but the finish on the wheels looks really good.
Possible you could avoid going wide body with a change to your suspension and tire size. Looks like if you lowered her down just a bit and put a mild stretch on the tire, particularly the front, you’d have a great stance! Wheels look hot!!!
I have a set of Umi springs ready to install, I will see with the bodyshop if they can do a wide body. Can someone confirm me if Detroit speed did a widebody on the DSE-Z ?
I can't put a roll cage it's illegal in my country
