Re: Firebird and Cessna
What a great shot! And I'm insanely jealous.
I think Formulas in white just look awsome. My first Firebird was a new 1990 white Formula. Still my all-time favorite car. I know some don't like the black inserts on the front bumper, but to me that nose (and any 3rd gen pre-1991 Firebird nose) is one of the all-time best pieces of auto design.

Nice pair of birds!
What year is the Cessna?
I used to work on airplanes, (licensed A&P mechanic) and I took flying lessons for a while. I had all my solo cross countries done, etc. I was the final check ride away from having my pilot license, and like an idiot, I quit. I moved away to go to A&P school and never finished the flying.
Back in 1979, my dad bought a 1978 Piper Cherokee Warrior, so I grew up flying all over the place with our family. Good times!!
I was a mechanic, then inspector, then maintenance controller for Great Lakes Aviation for a few years. They were a United Express carrier at the time. They had a fleet of Beechcraft 1900 D's, and Embraer EMB 120's. I haven't worked on an airplane since 2001

Re: Firebird and Cessna
It's a 1978 Cessna 172 with a bigger engine at 180 hp and a stc for 100lbs gross weight increase (can carry 4 people and fuel)
Never too late to finish, especially if your a&p is up to date alot of flying clubs will trade wrenching for flight time.

Sweet. My dad used to have a Piper Seminole and flying with him motivated me to get my A&P license.
