Changes throughout the years / differences?
Is there a list or video of changes made throughout the years ? (mostly trans am)
wikipedia has a list of different engines throughout the years and info about the 91 facelift but thats about all I can find.
Mostly looking for interior / dash changes. I like the look of the berlinetta, was anything offered like this on the Pontiac side? Are dash swaps able to be done?
If I was in the market, are there years to stay away from? (i like the pre facelift more so I gues before 91)

Putting small details aside, the Firebird interiors pretty much look the same from 82-84, and then a little smoother look from 85-92. There was also an optional dash available with digital number readouts instead of analog gages. And higher end cars can be found with steering wheel radio controls. And some cars have swept door panels almost like a custom hot rod.

Yeah the 82-84 cars had an interior that looked a lot like a camaro's. I also believe that after 85 the dash pads were a different size between the two, with a firebird dash being not quite as deep.

Re: Changes throughout the years / differences?
82-84, 85-89, 90-92 were the "major" differences in interiors. 86-89 could have a digital dash which was a neat option to a lot of people, though not wildly different than analog in regards to general desirability. 90-92 was the only generation to have factory cup holders in the lower corners of the doors, though they were brittle and borderline useless, so finding a car without at least the driver side broken off is pretty uncommon. Typically the most desirable interior features are the Recaro seats on the earlier T/A's, or the (deluxe?) interior which was standard on the GTA, and optional on the Trans Am's. A clean Trans Am with the GTA Ultima seats always seems to get some good attention as it was uncommon for people to spec a car like that instead of just buying a GTA.

All the trim levels are so similar that you can put a set of leather seats in a base model and have that "fine wine" interior of the 1980's, sans extra buttons on the dash.
It's not that simple for purposes of collector cars, but it really is about that simple if you just want a nice interior.
