Polishing rims revisited

I have a set of 91 Z28 rims on my car and I have glass beaded them and then i tried the old fashion sanding deal. I started with 220 and then I moved up but I still have the grooves. I think I am going to take another crack at it with some 120 and then work my way up.

My question is: Has anyone used a DA on the flat part of the spokes to get the ridges out? It is way to hard trying to get rid of everything by hand. I am almost crippled from sanding.

Thanks

DA sander will work for the tops.
