Help with Clay bar!!
I had gotten a clay bar a while ago and lost the directions on how to use it. Today I went outside and tried it on a small piece of my bumper where the paint is bad. I put it on lightly but now it left this sticky clay on the bumper. I tried getting some of it with a towel and water but some of it's still there. How do I get if completely off.

For best results, you want the surface to be free of all dirt and contaminants the first time you Zaino. If you feel like the paint is totally clean you dont need to do this step, but I highly recommend it: Clay the vehicle with Z18 Clay Bar. I keep the surface lubricated with a mix of Z7 Car Wash and water in a spray bottle. This will pick up any tar, grease, bird crap, paint overspray, tree sap, etc. that the FIRST wash didnt. You can 'spot clay' in most cases. Just spray your lubricant on the part to be clayed and rub the clay bar over it until it is totally smooth. Keep the area wet to avoid scratching. If you dont have a spray bottle, soak your wash pad in the soap/water mix and ring it out over the area to be clayed... just remember to KEEP THE SURFACE WET.

Ahhh, crap, I did it totally dry, oh well it's not that big of an area. And yet another reason to get that paint job.

Acually, your supposed to use the "show time detailer" that came in the package (if its the "mothers" clay bar). It acts as a lubricant on the paint. Keep the area wet, so the clay bar just slides across smoothly. After finished, wash off, and wax, as all of the wax is now removed also.
Good Luck!
Good Luck!
you dont have to only use the detailer crap that comes with the clay bars......like the other guy said, you can use it while washing your car as long as you keep it VERY VERY wet
i like to use a dishwashing liquid and water mixture....works pretty good for me
