Here's my after pic.
It's not a real good one but you can tell how shiny they are!
What kind of paint did you use? I want to paint mine black too, right now they are grey.

That looks really good! Kudos to you. I bet it
takes ALOT of time to shine those. Can you
give us a breakdown on the procedure and
tools you used?

thanks!

Actually, if you only polish the surfaces that AREN'T painted, it really doesn't take too long. If you want to strip the paint and polish where it used to be, you will have to somehow remove the casting (textured stuff). Most people just sand with a coarse sandpaper to remove it.
I posted something on here a couple months ago or a little less explaining the way I did it. Go look it up. The subject is "to all past, present, and future wheel polishers" It should help you out.

Those are really polished, more so refinished.

Take a look at the wheels TPI383 has for a polished look.

Also, 85Sportscoupe89Rs Name I know has to be wrong, but I remember it was one car to another.

Did a very good job of polishing his as well.

I bought a set just like that for $125. They were 16's. One had a chip out of the bead, but I had a friend weld and grind on it a n it look like new.

Oh yeah . I didnt have any problem balancing the wheel. It ran great.

I did that to mine too....took about 12 hours a wheel, but the time invested was totally worth it.

Took me probably 15 hrs/wheel for a total of 60 hrs. 10 of these hours where wasted time because I didn't exactly know what I was doing. A tip I suggest in using a clear coat remover (aircraft remover) that you paint on with a brush. This type worked MUCH better than the spary can type. (BTW, both were the same brand) I picked up the 6 wheels (4 rears, 2 fronts) for $150 locally. No curb or structural damage, just some corrosion.

Keep in mind that on that pic of my car, the wheels are in the shadow of my car so the sun isn't even reflecting off of them. The sun was on the direct opposite side of the car. You should see them from the other side! No pics though
