under hood paint
any one use splater paint "trunk paint" to paint the engine bay!
I though it might be different. If you have pics please post them.

I had my engine bay painted the with the same paint and clear used on the car. I am not sure how it will hold up, but for now I am really impressed with the way it looks. I had entertained the idea of rino liner in the engine bay, but the body guy talked me into this.

I swapped motors before I did the color change on my car. The radiator support and under the hood I sprayed the new blue. I may end up taking a lot of time and removing or masking everthing on the shock towers and fire wall and painting them blue to match the car.
I just thought something with a texture would not get dirty as easy and would be easy to touch up.
Im sure your paint and clear will hold up. If you used a good clear the heat or dirt shouldnt affect it. Just wash it off every once and a while.
