Should I get my car painted, Or Just Paint a new Fender???
Ok, I was planning on getting the whole car repainted, just a cheap job for now, the paint now isn't perfect but it isn't that bad either. I'm sure Zaino could help it out a lot. The reason I was planning on the paint job is because I want to buy a new driver's side fender. How much would Maaco charge to match the paint and just paint the fender. Here are some pics to judge for yourself. I didn't want to spend over $200 on a paint job anyways, I just figured if I could just get a new fender and have it painted, I could possibly put some money aside for the Chrome IROC rims I want. I'm just not sure what route to go.
So, should I get a new paint job, or just paint the fender (if it will save that much money) and save towards the wheels?

and another to help the decision. Of course then, there's the problem with the door scratches and bumper guards..

I'm in the same boat as you man. I wanna get a new hood, and a fiberglass wing this summer. I don't know if I should have them painted to match or paint the whole car. so everybody I'd like the same info.

Actually, I think now I'm just going to polish my wheels and wait on the chrome to see how this turns out. But now I could possible not get a whole paint job and save for the SS hood and have it painted, but again how much would I be looking at in getting the paint matched for the fender and hood.

I used to think the chrome IROC wheels were cool, but there's someone on here with a Camaro and chrome IROC-Z '85-'87 style wheels. After I saw pics of the chrome wheels on a car, I didn't like them anymore. If I were you I'd just polish your current wheels. But it's your car, so whatever floats your boat...

get a new fender and bring it to a body shop. tell them to paint the fender and blend it into the front bumper and the door. it will look like new. as for the small paint chip, i would just buy some touch up paint. hope this helps

I agree with heavy_chevy29, it appears to me that the front of your door is a little scraped up too, it'd be best to go to a decent shop and have them paint the fender and blend onto the adjacent panels. If they go at least halfway back on your door, that should take care of the scratch problem.
i also agree, buy a fender, prep yourself!! , then let the body mech. do the rest

How much would a place charge to do just a fender and door. Cause I figured it wouldn't be much more to get a whole paint job, a cheap one that is.

you dont need to strip the fender if its new and you dont need to strip the door either if your blending into it..just thought id give you a body tech point of view...if you put on the feder yourself id say about 100 to 150
