How to remove stripes??

I have an 89 RS with horrible red squiggly stripes on the side. they are a vinyl/sticker type. How can i remove these without damaging the paint. The paint is fairly new. here's a pic with the stripes circled.

If it weren't for the squiggles by the bumper, I'd leave them. Anyway, to get them off, maybe you can heat them and peel them off. Maybe a claybar?

body shops use a thing called an eraser, thats just what it is its a big round eraser and uput it in the endf of a drill a it takes the pinstripping right off it akes a while but it wont mess up your paint, but sorry to say ,i dont know where you can buy one, maybe a local body shop can order you one or something

I've done this with a few of my vehicles... stripes and pinstripes... i just use a hair dryer, goop-b-gone, and soapy water

heat the stripe w/ the hair dryer and start to peal it off.... heating hte stripe as you go, then when it is off, use goop-b-gone on a paper towel to remove adhesive left behind, and wash it to get rid of the goop-b-gone.... i have never had any problems with the paint coming off with the adhesive when removign the stripes... thats just my experience with removing stripes and pinstripes... hope this helps.
