The paint for the back lights... heres the scoop!

ok people

I go to the nearest hobby store, to buy this Candy apple red for my car!

As soon as I mentioned to her that I was looking for this colour and for the tint version, she knew exactly what to get.
So she got it for me

Than she asked me, " are you painting the inside or the outside of your lights", than it hit me?! Wtf am I doing agian?

Do I paint the inside and outside, ok I got the clearcoat info and all that.. but huh .. the paint she gave me didnt say Candy apple red. It said "clear red", is it the same???

Well I would think the paint is on the inside. That way I should last longer. I know on my bird the black paint around the bird chiped off due to age so I just took it apart sanded it then spray painted it black again. The lights should be the same but you might want to get a second opinion.

As far as i remember reading it is the out side. Or you would see the yellow still. The person to ask is un4given89. He did it on his car.

Here is what un4givin89 said on an old post:

Do a search, and you'll find my post with pictures and all. All ya gotta do is tape it all off and paint the whole tail light asmebly a couple of coats, it will take at least two. And then I suggest some super fine grit paper and lighty go over it then take some clear coat and spray over the lights a few dozen times. Then take a lacor finish and rub it in real good so you give it a good shiney plastic look. It will look awesome. I have some updated photos of mine I need to get. I also replaced my bulbs with super bright reds. But thats up to you.

Hope it helps
