External Fuel Gauge

External Fuel Gauge

Tommorrow i have to install a External Fuel Gauge on my 87 iroc. i need to see the fuel pressure during driving conditions to trouble shoot a problem i have been haveing for quite some time now. i was wondering if anyone has a pic of a External Fuel Gauge on a camaro. i worry it would look really bad.

If you're just diagnosing some problems, you can simply tape the fuel pressure gauge to the windshield. Most FP gauges have long enough hoses to reach from the schrader valve to above the cowl. I can't imagine many problems where you'd need one there longer than that, if you're worried about how it looks. (people will look, but who cares?)

If you want to have a more permenant install, then mounting one in the driving compartment isn't that much more work, but you'll need an isolator (usually included with the gauge).

If you're talking about bolting a gauge cup to the top of the hood, then, yeah, I think that would look bad. I never really cared for that type of mounting. Sorry, no pics, though. I know that's all your were really asking for. :\
