My resto project is a 1990 RS, but im thinkin about doing something a lil different. Im plannin on using a 2 inch glasstek cowl induction hood, which is modeled after the 1969 Z28 hood. The thought also crossed my mind that i could use RS emblems for a 69 camaro in the old locations. And possibly 350 emblems on the fenders, just give me an idea if everyone thinks it would look right.

 

sounds cool man...I like that retro stuff as long as it is done right. I have often thought about putting an injected Big Block in my car and putting some Yenko Emblems on it with Houndstooth interior. Kinda like yenko would have done it if they were still building cars today.

 

I don't like old style emblems on newer cars. A friend of mine did that to his IROC back in the late 80's and I thought they looked sooooooo out of place. 350 decals would look a whole lot better than emblems. If you really want the emblems, they would probably look fine on the sides of the cowl at the back of the hood, but again I think decals would still look better. Just say no to the old style RS emblems, way too big, and just look out of date.

 

Thanks for the feedback guys......im no where near completion yet so there's really no tellin what ill end up with. I was also concerned with the emblems looking out of place, which is one of the reasons i wanted some others opinions. But oh well, long road ahead still and im sure i'll come up with more than a few more ideas.
