Removing Factory paint from my wheels.

I am trying to remove the remains of the factory paint from my 91 Z-28 wheels. I have tried to use paint remover and that didn't touch it. Is there anything stronger that I can use to get it off. I would like to polish them before I buy new wheels, just to make it look nicer. Any suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks

I bought that Aircraft paint remover in a spray can today when I polished my wheels, works well.

I thought that Aircraft remover would have worked too, it did on alot of other things I used it on but it didn't touch the stuff on my wheels. I will try some of the brush on stuff and see how that turns out.

Make sure the wheels are dry when you put on the stripper.Water will kill the stripper.
