Need help with these Iroc Rims

Okay...I am a Trans am guy..but I think these are the Iroc rims...or at least they are the 5 star Camaro rims that come painted silver. They arent the polished ones with either the single black strip or the double black strip...they are the other rims....I dont know if you catch me or not. Well anyways...my friend has a chance to get a set...and they are painted gold...yet they were originally the painted silver....is there any way we can strip the gold paint off??? And possibly still have the silver underneath?? Or is it better off bringing it to a body shop to get powder coated or painted??? Please help...thanks.

Why not strip the paint and repaint them any color you want. I repainted mine dark grey and turned out good.

Strip the paint off with thinner and, if you don't have the resources... have a boky shop spray 'em.

Thnks for the replies so far...I think I will help him strip down the paint...then try and paint them ourselves....and if they turn out bad then we will strip the paint again and bring them to the body shop down the road. Oh, and Davieboy...hell yea...they rock :hail: System is the best band out there now...waitin for them to come back around NY 2 c them for a second time.

Thanks & Later
