I think when i got the hood it was like between 350-375...it was under 400 tho. It worth every dollar too. I got the front latch which pretty much is a direct replacement for the stock hood (i.e everything bolts back up the same way) The only thing that needed to be done was drill holes to bolt the front latch back on. But like i said, its a quality hood. Oh, its fiberglass..i think you asked that. If you need glasstech's number, let me know. They are based out of IL too so shipping was nothing for me cause i just picked it up

re:
If you have a fiberglass hood, but your car is metal, and you
paint the whole car, does it look different?
I mean won't the hood look not as shiny as the rest of
the car, and it look unmatchin?
those are two different porous materials.... the paint
would adhere differently.. I would think so.
and appear different? Am I wrong?

I think part of the reason I wouldnt matter if they were different materials is primer. The primer adheres to the material and the paint to it. Also the new (4th gen) f-bodies are partially made out of fiberglass or something similar. The only way I know that is because I was riding with a friend and he hit a 2001 v6 firebird.

you can actually attach pictures now. You just post and click the browse button under where you type the text. It says attach file of to the left of it. You tell it where the file is your hard drive and it puts it online.

hey can you post a pic from the drivers seat, looking out of the windshield? Just to get a birds eye view. If someone has the "SS" hood could they possible do the same? I am trying to decide which hood to get. Thanks Richard.

Hey i just bought a 4 inch cowl hood and it looks great but it is bad for seeing out of the car.
I live in maryland and wondering if it is legal and anyone close by will to buy or trade for a 2.5 inch let me know. If you want to buy it i want 300 and it hasent been on a car yet.
