Rear View Mirror

my firebird had a rear view mirror with the little lights, but its glued on (the mirror was glued onto the tab thats glued to the windsheild) how can i get that off? paint thinner? also how should i wire that up? just from the dome light

on a hot day, hold a heat gun in front of the mirror button until it falls off the windsheild.

be aware that thirdgens use switched ground door pin switches to control the domelights. switched ground wire is white in color, the orange is a constant +12V lead.

Axle/Gears: 3.70 Posi disc 9 bolt
I got the original wiring out of the car for the lights in the rear view. Orange and white plus a black ground wire that is grounded in front of the t-top rib above the rear view.
