Speedo/gauges

im going to take my gauges apart, because well i want white faced guages. where can i get different colored background lights? what size do i need. also my speedo if off due to new gears. i have a digital one though, i just want to temporarily hook up so i can take emissions. it has a green, a red, and a black wire coming out of it, where should i hook these up?

Depends on the cluster. The bulbs are 194's for them, but the round gauges (til 89 or 90?) were not backlit. The light is reflected off a black plate that is painted light blue on the back to slightly tint the light. For these, I would buy the bulbs for whatever color you want and also paint the back of the plate to match.
For the half-moon gauges, they are backlit, so just change the bulbs. But the won't look good cause you can see through and you see all the shadows. I like the gauges in my 89 IROC much better than the ones I put in my 92 RS. Good luck.
