I like to know what i can do with my trunk lid b/c i can't close it all the way b/c the motor get stuck, i notice that some of the plastic by the screw's r cracked what can i do to make this work again..
Plz explain all details

 

I can get it to work with a screwdriver but it wont lock to pull it shut.
I can shut my trunk but it sticks up alittle without the motor plz help me out

 

Do a search on hatch motor. There have been quite a few posts about it.

 

Yep.... as to your exact situation, there's little you can do besides

A) Find a replacement unit at a junkyard
B) contact lonsal from the suspension/chassis board, he makes replacement parts, and is a good guy, too
C) replace the pulldown with a non-pulldown, 82-85 cars.

If you replace the unit with junkyard one, keep in mind the key.. if you can't use the key cylinder from your car with the junkyard piece (powered or not), make sure the yard gives you the key!!

 

I release my hatch and the lock released but the motor that goes up is running but the lock does not go up. And the motor will not stop running. Help!!!

 

take te back panel off and just unplu te motor, or u can always pull out the dome light fuse, well i think the dome light fuse also kills power to the trunk motor

anyway my motor is shattered and the lock is broken my trunk sorta shuts but rattles and well it sticks way up and slams back down over bumps, will an 84 gta (i think non pull down) hatch bolt right up?
