The Tops themselves should fit fine.
The problem will come into latch assembley. Their were three types available. A hook style (circa 82-84), A metal pin style, and a Plastic wrapped pin.
You need to make sure they are the same. The Tops from the 83 might be a Metal Pin, but I haven't seen that many from 82-84 that didn't have hooks, but some didn't.
your 86 probally has a metal pin style latch and that is what you want.
The other facter is material, and the are both glass, so all good there. 91-92 they were made in LEXAN!!!!!
