fitting 91 bird nose to 84 bird
I am looking for a 91 (non aero f/x) nose to put onto my 84 S/E. Ive seen the aero styled 91 on other birds and my question is this:
Do the headlights need to be modified due to the fact that there isn't the "pockets" for the turn signal and such? I used to own a 91 Firebird and the headlights were smaller and the bezel surrounding the light was different too.
Do I have to modify the 84 bezel or what to get it to retract with the 91 nose? How do you modify the turn signals?
Will I only need the front bumper cover or will I need to get all that lies beneath, i.e. the impact absorber and steel bumper?
Please note that I have since replaced the broken headlight and it is now functional.

I was at a yard not too long ago and I noticed that the headlights for the 91 nose is different than the 84-90. The headlight itself is much smaller. It is the size of the camaro headlight. This smaller size allows the headlight to be centered in the housing as normal, but the bottom of the headlight will clear the top of the bumper. There by no reducing the amount of light transmitance. The plastic headlight housing that surrounds it is also tapered differently. It has to cove a smaller size and does not have the lip that our headight housings do.
Honestly, the rest I'm not to sure on. I was only looking for healight housings to do my headlight conversion to non pop ups. The bird I looked at had his bumper cover remover already and the 91 & 92s are pretty rare in this yard.

I know the headlights, bezels, and plates are all different. I doubt you could reuse any of those, with the exception of the bezel, which I *think* I read could be modified. I don't think the turn signals can be reusesd either, the newer ones are completely different. The steel bumper part and impact absorber are, of course, also different and you have to get the 91-92 style. I was going to do this to my car at one time, but I was unable to find a bumper assembly for less than $500 after shipping. If you can find one, though, go for it; it would look really good with that hood.
