What should I do for paint?

Have 85 Z28 with new 350 and carb setup. Had old TPI. Well the thing is that my Z is spary can flat black. No S**T, the guy I bought it from did this. Said, he was sanding down and putting grey primer on it. Started to rust and so forth. I have $450 worth of Dark Blue metalic, "House of Kolors. Well the stock color was like a med ash grey with silver flakes. Its going to be a daily driver. The guy that put the black on took it all the way down to bare metal too. So would you guys spray on what I have now or wait. Really don't have $1500 to do a perfect paint job. And I really don't want to waste the good paint. Thinking of taking it to Macoo. Spray stock color on for now. Hoping that it will last a couple of years. Or should I sell the paint that I have to do a quality job? What would you guys do?

Well $1500 isnt going to get you a perfect paint job. So if your just looking for something to get you by for awhile then I would go to macco. Which will be just as nice as a $1500 paint job at a shop.

Don't waste the good paint on a poor paint job. You'll be sorry...
