hello all camaro guys and girls! I live in St. Clair Shores MI (near Detroit) and am ready to have the body work done on my 86 Camaro. I went to two places today (one of which is too busy to accept my car) and found out that I want to look at some more places. I was referred to Stan Yees (anyone heard of them?) by the guys at Ramchargers and they wanted quite a bit of money. Does anyone know of any quality body shops around here that won't charge me an arm and a leg? Thanks a lot!

Well, I just had my car painted by a local shop that specializes in restoration and insurance work. The owner has been a good friend of mine for many years so I got a good deal. He told me a job like this would cost the average person off the street $3000 minimum. I had some body work done, all the paint taken down the the metal, and a windshield put in all for $1500. I think it turned out great. It really depends on who you know. Maaco in Roseville on Groesbeck has done some good work for a few friends. May want to give them a try.
