Hello, i'm looking at buying an 88 iroc, but i noticed the iroc-z stickers are toward the front of the door (like on my 86 iroc). tech data on this site says that in 88 the iroc stickers were moved to the rear of the door. (also saw a 89 iroc on ebay with stickers toward the front of the door). anyways, vin show 88 iroc, opened the drivers door, and it shows a build date of 5/88. any thoughts on this. thanks, tom

 

Obviously it was a re-paint at one time and someone didn't know....

I wouldn't be too concerned about it unless it bothers you for some reason. I left the decals off my car just because I like them towards the back of the door, but mine came stock at the front of the door and people like you with a sharp eye will take notice. The no-decal look is much cleaner on a nice paint job IMO.

 

Just put RS emblems on if you do take/leave off the IROC-Z stickers.

 

ahhh, no, i wouldn't dare put rs emblems on the iroc!!!!!:nono: the car's paint is original, (i thought it may have been repainted and stickers stuck in the wrong place) oh well, not a problem, just wanted to see what everybody thought's were on this. thanks for the replies. tom

 

I was just making a sarcastic remark,just saying that if you take and leave off the IROC stickers you might as well put RS emblems because that's what you'll have-an RS w/ IROC wheels/hood.The stickers make the IROC appearance-wise appealing.IMO I think that it's retarded to leave off something that identifies the car's appeal.You're not going to see people who own 1st and 2ndgen Baldwin Motion,COPO,Yenko cars leave off any stickers or what identfies them as being such cars.

 

lol, i figured you were being funny. i'm just puzzled about the placement of the stickers. i went to iroc-z.com and went to 88 iroc pics. most of them had the stickers toward the rear of the car, but again, a few had them towards the front. thanks, tom

 

I'm sorry,I forgot to say that the stickers are on the back part of the door.You're correct.
