92 GFX on 86

Hey guys-I put on my 92 rear bumper and the 2 quarter gfx on my 86--looks good! I'm not trying to make it something it's not-I just like the 92 gfx better (beat you guys to the punch) Anyway I had to drill new holes for the newer gfx and I was wondering if anyone knows if the rockers(lower and upper)will use the same holes as the 86 gfx or will new holes have to be drilled again? I'm assuming new holes but I had to ask.
BTW--if anyone is going to put a newer bumper cover on an older model--you'll need the rear crash bar-I couldn't put the little plastic locking tabs on the bottom to hold it in place-no biggie tho, still looks good.
Anyone want to buy the old cover?

Passenger side-
be honest--what do you guys think? There's still more that I want to do--including a 92 dash setup--again because I like it!

Personally, I like the 91-92 style GFX the best for both the versions of the F-Body...I don't blame you for liking them better....I think everyone around here will be fine with this as long as you don't try to trick anyone into thinking it's a 92...which you aren't so it's all good

Yeah I'm in the process of doing the same thing to my 89 Firebird. I got the gfx from the front wheels all around the back. I am going to put a 85-90 TA front end with the front quarter grx's with that. I'm sure its going to look awesome. Eventually I hope to get either a RAII hood or a cowl with it. I think I'll probly be about the first to do this.

Oh yeah, I need 85-90 side GFXs alone with the rear bumper for my Formula. Since u just took what I need off your car would you like to sell it to me.

Looks good. I am just finishing up the same swap, except from '87 formula to 91-92 style...

I've bolted everything up, but am going to have a body shop mount the rocker and rear gfx...I'm not in the mood.

I want your 91-92 Tail lights. The GFX in my opinion don't look all that great, look too much like rain gutters.

I went with the 91-92 Camaro GFX on my 86 T/A.

Zepher I thought the same thing when that style 1st came out--but I guess they grew on me.
And you can't have my tail lights!
maverick544 I was thinking about selling the old gfx--but I'm not too sure yet what I want to do w/them. I am selling the rear bumper cover tho--it's in the classifieds.
I'm also leaving the older nose on it--not too sure how I'm going to mount those newer gfx on the front of the fenders-I was thinking about cutting them up a little bit--hope it'll look right.
Now--do you guys think I'll be able to use the old mounting holes w/those lower gfx metal brackets--or will I have to drill new holes?

You have to either spot weld or drill new holes.
