4th gen console auto or manual

Can anyone tell me if there is a difference in the 4th gen console besides the boot between auto and manual? I picked one up at the Junkyard on 1/2 day for $10 but its for an auto and I got a 5 speed.

How are you planning on using an auto, with a 5 speed. That's the stupid part of the question.

Yes they are the same, the only differece is the shifter plate....

I was asking if the an auto console would fit a manual car. Did you think I said Can you use an auto shifter on a manual? Because if I was asking that I would have asked that.
