Is it normal for body sag when car is jacked up on all fours.
My driver and passenger door are hard to close when the car is jacked. The stands are at the front of the frame and at the rear axel. Ive been doing heavy body work, and the car has been jacked for over a month. Is it normal for a sag that puts the drivers door out about 1/2 inch. It wont close unless I lean on the back of the door. Or I jack the car a little from the forward cross member. It worries me a little. Everything is fine when the car sits on all four tires.
Thanks

On the unibody designs, which don't have a full frame, much of the structural strength must come from the roof. Unfortunately, many of the T/A's have T tops which weaken this supporting structure.
So it is very common to get body flex. So bad sometimes that pulling up on a set of ramps may "freeze" your doors shut. This is one reason why sub frame connectors are highly recommended on the 3rd gen models.

I couldn't believe the body flex I saw in my car when lowering it onto the jack stands... the body just kinda arched over. Opening the door was ok but when closing it, it would catch the rubber seal on the t-top.
