imho i think its a bad decision to put ttops in aftermarket...they leak from factory let alone aftermarket..but it is your car just be ready to have water leaking into your car every and anytime it rains..and when it pours...well GET FLOOD INSURANCE!! cuz its a biggie..

but it is your car like i said b4 so you should do what you think is good..and as for cost..i think its gonna be expensive...put at least $300 more on top of what you would be charged for a sunroof!!

I agree with iroc2nv, I have factory T-Tops on my Z28 and last month I was finally able to get them to quit leaking. In my opinion T-Tops do make the car I mean they just look good and you get a similar effect to the convertible without the top maintanance. If you want them bad enough you will learn to live with the leak but its the price to do it that your gonna hate. If you want it raelly bad go for it.

i think it would be very $$$ to do T-tops because you just don't take a hacksaw to the roof and cut out two panels.
that center bar is renforced metal so the car will not "bend"
oh t-tops don't leak its old rubber that leaks.

Cars & Concepts on longer makes the kit.
Back in 1990 they were $2500 installed.

My suggestion is buy a car with one. And if you still have you heart still set on changing it. Junk yard is the place for you.

I've had both: ASC - 84 Daytona TA and C&C - 90 Firebird tops.

Good luck

I fixed my leaks, they did leak slowly, but now no more leaks at all some adjusting and silicone fixed everything. And there is only a slight bit of rust from when they were leaking along the drivers side on the underbody. Nothing alittle body shop cant fix when installing my subframe connectors.

Level one
1500 glass panels not included, no finish work
400 glass panels(I would just get junkyard ones)
You will need a new windshild also

Level two
3000, including install of the seals windshield and panels
Weld seams still need to be ground down and feathered, by body shop before painting.

Level 3
7,000
car painted and ready to roll

Shipping now that is the question.

Its expensive since you can get a good t-top car for 3k anyways and fix it up.

btw they do this to make custiom, knightrider cars, but I'm sure they want mind just installing the t-tops.

biker...

yes the older the rubber the more they leak... but the tops themselves can leak if they dont set on the rubber propperly.. ie body flex throws ttops outa wack just enough to give you a bath in your car... aftermarket ttops are bad about that because when u hack the roof up,u get SOME body flex...
