automatic rear view mirror

automatic rear view mirror

my car has one of those auto rear viw mirrors and it has never worked in the 4 yrs. i've had this car. I think its cool and i want it to work. Any suggeestions. Thanks

u mean side view mirrors? automatic rear view mirrors would be bad a*s

I have the auto dim rearview in my '86 Z also .. I have yet to get mine to work either.

I still have to check for power going to mine.

I took one apart to look for the obvious but had no luck. Your best bet is to get one off ebay.

um im not sure. i kinda just wanted mine to work :/ oh well, im just sick of people lights blinding me at night, may just rip it down and install a generic one. at least i would be able to see at night

Some time at night, go out to the car and with the headlights on the little number dial should light up with a dim green light if it is on. Kind of like a dash light for the dial. If it is not lighting up try playing with the on-off switch. My switch is real finicky. I have to wiggle it just right to get the mirror turned on. Once mine is on it will stay on though.

Basically, check the switch. Mine is picky maybe yours is too.

Hope that helps a little at least
